Who is Cachet Homes?

Cachet is a Mississauga-based builder with more than forty years of developing and building custom estates and master-planned communities. It is family run and now in its second generation.

It began as A. Auciello and Son Custom Homes when founder Anthony Auciello built his first three custom estates in the Jennings Gate community in Unionville. Building luxury homes in the Cachet Country Club community earned him the name The Cachet Builder, and the company took the name Cachet Estate Homes from it.

How did Cachet grow from custom homes to communities?

In clear stages, which the company documents itself:

  • Over a decade building custom estates for a private clientele
  • Summit Trail on Bayview, its first fully turn-key residential development community
  • Olde Meadowvale Village, its largest community to that point and its move into large-scale family communities
  • Olde Winchester, its first master-planned community, developed with an emphasis on greenspace that became a pattern in later projects

That progression matters: the company learned custom-home standards first and carried them into volume, rather than the other way round.

What has Cachet won?

The GTHBA Pinnacle Award, the association’s most prestigious honour, celebrating Homebuilder of the Year. It also won the GTHBA Best New Home Design award for its Versailles model.

That Versailles award came with a genuine first: Cachet introduced the French Chateau style of architecture to Ontario home buyers at its Cachet on the Park community.

Desi Auciello, now President and CEO, was also appointed President of the GTHBA, which is a mark of standing among peers rather than a marketing claim.

What is the Framewalk?

A walkthrough of your home at the framing stage, before the walls are closed, so you can see the structure, the rough-ins and where everything actually sits.

Cachet was one of the first builders in Ontario to offer it. It is genuinely valuable: it is the only point at which you can see how your home is built rather than how it is finished, and it is the moment to catch a misplaced outlet or a duct where you wanted a wall.

What does Cachet build now?

Master-planned family communities and estate homes across the western GTA and beyond, including communities in Binbrook, Erin and Caledon, alongside its custom estate heritage.

The range still spans from volume family housing to high-end custom work, which is unusual and means the specification varies considerably between communities.

What should a buyer check before buying from Cachet?

Ask whether the Framewalk is offered on your home, and take it if it is. It is the single most useful access a builder can give you.

Because Cachet builds across a wide price range, do not read the estate-home reputation onto a volume community. Ask for the features and finishes sheet for your specific community and compare it against competitors in that band.

Then the usual: deposit schedule, lot premium, what is standard versus an upgrade, grading and drainage, and the closing timeline.
